Preventing School Shootings

Former Lake County sheriff / Lake County SWAT discussing prevention of school shootings like that in Connecticut, using a 3-part triangle that makes up a crime: Ability, intent, and opportunity, raising several scenarios in which removing or limiting one of these parts effectively reduces the chance for criminal activity.  While intent is not really controllable, both ability and opportunity can be reduced through physical barriers and increased security.
